Résumé de la thèse

My research study aims to investigate the analysts' capability to detect and forecast three

interconnected financial phenomena in Europe, and the United States: (1) credit risk, predicting

increments in credit risk helps financial institutions and investors assess the potential for losses

from borrower defaults. This enables better pricing of loans and bonds, ensuring appropriate

compensation for risk. (2) Earnings management, financial statements manipulation can weaken

capital markets, analyst identification of firms that have engaged in these practices is crucial. (3)

Bankruptcy, anticipating potential bankruptcies allows stakeholders to take preventive measures or

make informed decisions. This is crucial for maintaining economic stability and protecting

investors.
